Network Architecture and the Dynamics of Innovation

Journal Club at CNS CEU

Our regular Journal Club at CNS is an excellent opportunity to keep up with the scientific literature and to discuss recent articles around network science related topics and also to learn new things. It was no different today, Tamer Khraisha presented on the paper “The dynamics of collective invention” and we heard an interesting critical review about the spreading of knowledge and innovation in (economic) networks that can lead to further technological change.

Data Stories is back this year, upgraded and more fun! We're officially launching the call for the third edition of the exhibition, so we'd like to invite you to spread the word and take initiative. Visualize your interests, and we'll display them nicely for everyone to appreciate.

Our community of data storytellers is growing within CEU as well as in other universities and in the private sector. We're very happy to be bridging between these communities through an inspiring exhibition of data visualizations! So, for our third edition, we have two exciting news!

László Barabási Awarded the Prima Primissima Prize

Friday, December 6, 2014 László Barabási of the Center of Network Science, CEU was awarded the Prima Primissima Prize. This pretigieous award of Hungarian entrepreneurs is given annually in ten different categories. Professor Barabási received the honour in the category of Science for his outstanding contributions to network science.
