My research interest centers around social media, social networks and political communication with a particular focus on opinion dynamics and polarization. I'm interested in using network analysis and NLP to study the complexity of online communication via a “structural individualistic” view of users and communities, that is, to reveal the latent structure shaped by individual behaviors at the collective level.

I'm currently scratching my head around these questions: how to jointly analyze textual and behavioral data to better capture opinion dynamics in online social networks? how to design customized frameworks for different platforms to better understand the evolvement of users, agendas and communities?
