Valeria Mora-Hernández joined the Department of Network and Data Science in November 2024. 

Originally from Chile, she holds a Ph.D in Spanish Literature from the University of Notre Dame and an MA in Hispanic Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her professional experience includes teaching Literature and Spanish as a Foreign Language in academic and non-academic settings, conducting research, and professional coaching.

In 2021, she moved to California, where she worked as the Program Director of a small medical non-profit organization. There, she learned tons about medical equipment and gained valuable experience in customer service and program coordination.

During the past 8 years living abroad, Valeria has always enjoyed working in multi-cultural settings and problem-solving. Now in Vienna, and working at CEU, she aims to support the students and faculty of the DNDS. 

Outside of work, Valeria enjoys playing modern board games, biking, hiking, and reading while enjoying a good cup of tea.
