I was born in Bologna, Italy. I obtained my BSc in Physics from Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, with a thesis on pedestrian dynamics. I then earned my MSc in Physics of Complex Systems through a joint degree program offered by universities in Turin, Trieste, and Paris, with a thesis introducing a novel methodology for estimating the reproduction number of an infectious disease.
Later, I conducted research on Game Theory on Networks and Mathematical Economics at Politecnico di Torino, and in Applied Machine Learning and Computational Social Science at Eurecat Technology Center, before joining CEU as a PhD student at the Department of Network and Data Science.
I am interested in solving real-world problems using tailored, effective and rigorous mathematical and computational approaches. At the same time, I am passionate about continuously expanding my methodological toolkit in the areas of statistics, inference and learning.
