Imre is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics. He also holds a part-time position as an Assistant Professor of Numerical Analysis at Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary. His research focuses on adaptive time discretization methods for ordinary, partial and neural differential equations.
In recognition of his research in mathematics and the natural sciences on the development and application of control theory–based adaptive time discretization methods for differential equations, Imre was awarded the Youth Prize of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2024.
