Luka Blagojević earned his PhD with the distinction of summa cum laude at the Department of Network and Data Science, Central European University, Vienna. He previously obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, with an emphasis on Statistical Physics, Agent-based modeling, and the Science of science.
His doctoral research focused on physical networks—an emerging subfield of network science that explores how three-dimensional structures with network topology behave under physical constraints. By bridging the abstract with the tangible, his work revealed how geometry, connectivity, and spatial embedding co-shape the dynamics and robustness of complex systems. He conducted this research under the supervision of Márton Pósfai, and collaborated with Ivan Bonamassa, János Kertész, and Albert-László Barabási as part of the DYNASNET project.
Looking ahead, Luka is expanding into more applied domains such as AI and Data Science, while also embracing his unexpected artistic side. He continues to pursue challenges that blend intellect, intuition, and expression—wherever truth may call him.
